Introduction
I am April Barnett (a.b.) owner of a.b.'s fuzzy babies and proud parent of three fuzzy felines. I have been taking care of pets in and around the Mid City area for 18 years.
Since 1994 Pet Sitters International has been the world's largest educational organization for professional pet sitters and dog walkers and I have been a proud member for 18 years and received my accreditation as a Certified Professional Pet Sitter.
I am also insured, bonded, background checked through Acutraq, certified in Pet CPR/First Aid and...I was voted 2023's Neighborhood Fave by Nextdoor.com!
Our Business
After a decade in corporate America, I decided it was time for a change. Reflecting on the joy I experienced years before as a personal assistant to celebrity clients and caring for their pets; I realized my passion for animals combined with pet sitting was the perfect fit.
From a young age, pets have been cherished members of my family. When I traveled, it was a relief to know that someone was not only caring for my fuzzy babies but also adding a layer of security to my home.
I wanted to offer that same peace of mind to others, and that's how a.b.'s fuzzy babies started. I look forward to providing you with exceptional service!

My mission is to offer comfort, peace of mind and reliability to my clients by ensuring their pets receive exceptional care from a professional pet sitter. Through personalized in-home visits, I provide both comfort and security, adapting to each pet’s evolving needs. I believe in honesty, integrity, accountability, a strong work ethic and providing clients full disclosure on their pet's health and well being. I am committed to continually expanding my knowledge of pet care, fostering long-lasting, trusting relationships with both my clients and their beloved pets.
